MARKET UPDATE
It’s been beautiful here on the Cape! The mornings are cooler and then warms up during the day. It’s still perfect out for walks, biking and even beach time. As for real estate, the summer market was quieter than usual for us but is picking back up. As you likely saw, mortgage rates dropped to an 11-month low and we are starting to see more inventory come on the market as of early September.
In August, the Median Sales Price was up 5.3 percent to $779,000 for single-family homes and 8.0 percent to $545,250 for condominium properties here on the Cape according to Cape Cod & Islands Association or Relators®.
If you're considering buying or selling on the Cape, please reach out. I would love to work with you! I always appreciate your referral as well.

If you follow me on Instagram
(@meredyth_capecod) you likely saw my corn on the cob taste test post. The corn was fabulous with crisp, juicy kernels that were perfectly sweet. You don’t even need butter, but I must admit, I do love it with butter!
Hart Farm also offers a nice and large selection of salad dressings, jellies, and pickled veggies. A personal favorite of mine is the Ranch Lovers Dressing.
Owners Don and Nancy Kossack warmly invite you to visit Hart Farm and explore all it has to offer!

DID YOU KNOW?
The oldest home in New England continuously owned by the same family is in East Sandwich. The Wing Fort House was built in 1641 and owned by Stephen Wing. His descendants continued to live there until 1942. Tradition states that the home was a fort to protect the earliest settlers from the Indians. The Cape Indians in the area were found to be friendly, and the town did not need any fort for protection. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, the Wing Fort House is now a museum and can be visited Tuesday through Saturday from June 15 to September 30 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and by appointment during the remainder of the year.
